De Lir whistle is gebaseerd op het ontwerp van de whistle van John Sindt. De prachtig zuivere klank in beide octaven komt inderdaad ook dicht bij de whistle van Sindt. De Lir whistle is dus een goedkoper alternatief, zonder wachtlijst!
